Skill training in practice

The team improve their skills while they work with the activities in the project. These skills can be categorized into two parts, depending on the decisions made about what activity to do and how to do the activity. The first part, related to “what”, refers to team skills about coordination and decision-making. The second part, related to “how”, refers to team skills about collaboration and communication.

Knowledge of the product of the project can be related to the project scope, an example of earlier work, Skill training in practice, is available for download. It was originally presented at Utvecklingskonferensen för högre utbildning, at Karlstad University in Sweden.

Developing a learning cycle

The use of project work is growing, and more and more organisations are working on projects. It is therefore important for businesses to learn how they can develop a learning cycle for projects. General research has been done on factors for project success, and there has also been some research specifically about project-based learning.The purpose, is to describe micro- and macro-level activities related to designing a learning cycle in the area of project management.

The development for developing a learning cycle for new business project knowledge is inspired from a previous work, Project-based learning, – designing a learning cycle.
